Peotone, IL – Dancers of all ages are invited to explore personal expression and inspiration through dance as Main Street Dance Academy. Northern Illinois University graduates, Allison and Missy Hudson, Co-founders of MSDA, bring their expertise and versatile dance background to the community. Each holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Dance Performance.
Opening the dance studio has been a life long dream of the Hudson sisters. Their goal is to enrich the community with their love of dance and hope many will be inspired to follow in their footsteps, learning to appreciate this wonderful performing art.
Having lived in Peotone their entire lives, Allison and Missy are delighted to be involved in the restoration of historic downtown Peotone. First home to a Chevrolet and Buick dealership, the building which now houses the Main Street Dance Academy was originally built in 1935. The Hudson’s have transformed this 6,000 square foot space to include 2 state of the art dance studios with professionally sprung floors, a newly remodeled lobby as well as a dance apparel shop including Bloch dancewear and MSDA merchandise.
MSDA offers classes for ages 3 through adult in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, pilates, hip hop, dance team technique, pre-dance, tumbling, martial arts, and mommy & me.
