Allison Hudson - Wright
Allison completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Theatre at Northern Illinois University under the direction of Randall Newsom. While at NIU, she was featured in many performances including, "The Nutcracker", "Carmina Burana", "Les Sylphides" and "Coppelia". Allison's favorite performance was as the umbrella soloist in Randall Newsom's "Down So Long". She also danced and featured choreography in "Art for Life" and the "Student Choreographic Showcase". Allison has studied with renowned choreographers including Mia Michaels, Joel Hall, John Magnus, David Howard and Robbie Mackey. While at NIU, she studied under instructors Randall Newsom, Judith Chitwood, Paula Frasz, and Karen Williamson. She has danced in workshops and competitions throughout the country including Disney World, Hollywood and Joffrey's Midwest Workshop. Since her initial involvement in 2000, Allison has coached and choreographed for the Peotone High School Dance Team. The team has advanced to the State Competition every year under her direction. They were named Team Dance Illinois State Champions in years 2007, 2008, and 2009. Aside from coaching, Allison teaches classes in all dance forms at Main Street Dance and choreographs for the Main Street Dance Company.
